My web 2.0 collection: New Ways to Filter Twitter

Some thoughts & ideas of how to consolidate and filter twitter messages.
Twitter is a micro-broadcast - there is a network phenomenon with each participant a node, connected both incoming and outgoing with followers (asymmetrically, but in practice fairly symmetric).

How does one figure out value or content quality? there is so much gunk in the system... There are self-organizing properties at work. Retweets are indicators...

Joe Keller's ranking system (1978, Courant Xmas lecture) has qualities similar to page-rank. Might be worth a look...
